Introduced during the transition from physical keyboards to full-touchscreen smartphones, this Sprint Samsung Galaxy S combines a capacitive touchscreen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for text entry. The teardown reveals the keyboard membrane, sliding mechanism, primary logic board, removable battery, camera module, speaker assembly, and multiple flexible ribbon cables that connect the moving keyboard to the phone's electronics. The display can be examined at the subpixel level, allowing comparison of its pixel arrangement with other smartphones in the collection. ### Inspired by what you see?
