What looks like a hairy head on Mars in Gale Crater. This Curiosity Rover image shows what could be interpreted as a large primate head with hair or perhaps some organic growth on a strange head shaped structure. Statue or mummified? Estimated height, around 18 inches. More craziness from the Mars surface. This image was taken by MAST_RIGHT onboard NASA's Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 776 (2014-10-12) The upper image has had 25% brightness and 10% contrast applied for better shape definition.
