This outcrop of the late Ordovician Martinsburg Formation is located on Route 644 in Shenandoah County, about 60 feet above the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. At this outcrop, bedding is oriented 042°, 72° (right hand rule: it strikes N42°E, and dips 72° to the southeast). Cleavage is oriented 212°, 83° (that is, it strikes S32°W, and dips at 83° towards the northwest). GigaPan Stitch seems to have had some issues putting it together, which is frustrating. Still, there's a lot to be seen. Image made as part of the Mid-Atlantic Geo-Image Collection (M.A.G.I.C.).
