NASA's Mars Perseverance rover acquired this image using its Right Mastcam-Z camera. Mastcam-Z is a pair of cameras located high on the rover's mast. This image was acquired on Aug. 20, 2021 (Sol 178) > The upper image has had -30% brightness and 25% contrast applied for better shape definition. Also lightly applied colour correction. > My enhanced image clips are subject to copyright but the gigapan image is Creative Commons: Attribution.
