Yes, this is indeed an ultra high resolution image of a hamburger from McDonalds. It was no small feat to photograph either. Even with our automated robot, the burger to radically change shape while we are photographing it. It only takes a few minutes for the burger to start to take on a new form, so to counteract that, we use a hidden hotplate gently keep it warm without having the burger be so hot that steam rises and fogs up the lens.
