These Devonian beds (part of the Catskill clastic wedge) show some nice "ball and pillow" structure where sands were deposited atop goopy mud. You can see them today in cross-section on the many road-cuts of new Route 55 in West Virginia (Corridor H). A sample pillow of sandstone was collected at this site, cut and polished, and imaged in macro view. It can be viewed here: https://viewer.gigamacro.com/view/CyDx0UMJu15jleNz
