Beach cobble of material from dikes adjacent to the Drumadoon Sill. This is described as "North Britain Palaeogene Dyke Suite - Quartz-feldspar-porphyry. Igneous Bedrock formed approximately 23 to 66 million years ago in the Palaeogene Period. Local environment previously dominated by intrusions of silica-rich magma."
