Apollo 15 captured the images this pan was made from with the onboard Itek Panoramic Camera in 1972. This camera was essentially the peak of analog photographic technology at the time, and even todays digital camera systems are hard pressed to surpass its resolution and analog clarity. Little did they realize what all it would pick up when they pointed it into 'The Bright One"
