Seneca Rocks is an outcropping on Tuscarora Quartzite in Pendleton County West Virginia that is very popular for hikers and rock climbers. The summit is at 2600 feet which is about 1000 feet from the surrounding area. Many routes to the top range from a brisk walk to an expert level climb. Because of the variety of climbing conditions at Seneca Rocks, the 10th Mountain Division trained there during World War II. This photo was taken on a Friday afternoon in mid July so some climbers were on the face. However, on holidays and weekends, there are people all over the rocks. See if you can find climbers on the rocks as well the observation platform that is accessible by the walking path.
