Diamictite from the latest Devonian period of the Appalachian Basin. This slab comes from the laminated/layered subunit of the diamictite (there is also a massive portion). This image is looking at the bedding plane, though I'm not sure if this is the bottom or the top of it. This unit is cited as evidence for glaciation in the sedimentary basin at the time of deposition. It contains apparent dropstones and faceted and striated clasts.
