Mole Hill is an eroding Eocene-aged volcano east of Harrisonburg, VA. The basalt intrudes through Ordovician aged limestone of the Beekmantown Group, and can mainly be found at the top of the hill. In this outcrop we can see limestone with many fractures filled with quartz.
