This lumpy cluster appears as a relatively uniform, dusty tan mass. However, the processing reveals that these are likely Impact Breccias; geological "Frankenstein" rocks made of fragments of other rocks that were fused together by the heat and pressure of the Jezero impact. The enhancement tries to bring out the detail of this <b>Heterogeneous composition; suggesting that this 'Lac de Charmes' unit is far more complex than a single lava flow. We are looking at a chaotic mix of deep-crustal material, possibly containing silicates and carbonates that are usually hidden under a blanket of pervasive Martian dust.
