This outcrop of shale is presumably part of a larger anticline/syncline. Looking north from West Virginia, across the south branch of the Potomac River. I do intend on going back when there is less foliage to get a better view of the outcrop. Closest to the water, the outcrops exhibits a mass deposit of brachiopod fossils, will hopefully be able to GigaPan in the future. And a special thanks to Jim Egenrieder, for allowing me to shoot this outcrop from his property. Devonian shale (#1): https://viewer.gigamacro.com/view/8yKyAm5oWe4aZngY
