Calcite and [TBD] which precipitated onto a hand sample of gneiss used as an aquarium decoration at Northern Virginia Community College's Annandale campus. The aquarium sat abandoned--don't worry; I saved the fish--from March 2020 to August 2021, slowly evaporating. This is the result.
