This is a view of the north side of the Oquirrh Mountains. The Bonneville shoreline is the prominent linear terraces ~ 3/4 the way up the mountains whereas the Provo shoreline can be seen ~ 1/2 way up the mountains. On the Provo terraces there are significant deposits of capping tufa. In addition to the Lake Bonneville features this is the site of the copper smelter for the Rio Tinto (Bingham - Kennecott) copper mine.
