This great little anticline is one of several accessible from the Veach Gap trail in George Washington National Forest, Fort Valley, Virginia. The rocks are from the Massanutten Formation, a Silurian quartz arenite to quartzite. The folds seen here are parasitic folds which relate to the larger Massanutten Synclinorium regional structure (see google earth location).
