This outcrop of tilted and folded, Devonian aged shale, is presumably part of a larger anticline/syncline. Looking north across the south branch of the Potomac River. I do intend on going back when there is less foliage to get a better view of the outcrop. And a special thanks to Jim Egenrieder, for allowing me to shoot this outcrop from his property.
