Lake Shambip was a paleolake within Rush Valey , UT. The lake formed following the drop of Lake Bonneville caused by the Bonneville flood and coexisted in Rush Valley during he occupation of Lake Provo in the main basin. The beach barrier in the middle of the photo was formed during the transgresive rise of Lake Bonneville. During Lake Shambip wave action cut into this beach barrier and formed a small beach barrier in the top right portion of the photo in which the modern road is built upon.
