Red Hole is a popular swimming hole on Passage Creek in the northern part of George Washington National Forest. The site is about one mile north (downstream) of Elizabeth Furnace, and three miles south of the "town" of Waterlick. The rock here is Silurian-aged Massanutten Sandstone.
